Dr Zia Ullah Ranjah
Mr Zia Ullah Ranjah is Advocate Supreme Court of Pakistan. He holds a doctorate in law. Before establishing his law firm Jurist Panel, he worked with RIAA Barker Gillette, a leading international law firm. He has extensive experience in the legal profession. He has represented and advised various institutions and companies including National Bank, Union Bank, Union Leasing, Standard Chartered Bank, Barclays Bank, Samba Bank, Habib Bank, Habib Metro, NIB Bank, Citibank, Emirates Global Islamic Bank, Turkish Airline, Pakistan Engineering Council, LESCO, and Borjan (Pvt.) Ltd. He has also represented individual clients in civil, revenue, and criminal matters.
He has the honor of lecturing at National Defense University, Foreign Service Academy, National Police Academy, Civil Services Academy, Intelligence Bureau Academy, Punjab Judicial Academy, Pakistan College of Law and Punjab University Law College. He was invited as a visiting scholar at SOAS, University of London. He has participated in seminars at University of Oxford, University of Cambridge, and International Academy for Leadership. He has attended Public International Law Course and Advanced Course on International Criminal Law at the Hague Academy of International Law. He has been a consultant in law reforms project in Pakistan conducted in collaboration with Asian Development Bank.
He has contributed opinions in respected English newspapers including DAWN, The News International, and The Friday Times. He contributes to Jurist Blog. He has published in the LUMS Law Journal and the Journal for Law and Islam. He is also a member of International Law Association, International Law Foundation, and a prestigious International Advisory Board of the Asian Yearbook of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law.
